Greg & Kathy, December 2006

Here are a couple of nice photos of Greg and Kathy at Greg's last birthday party in December 2006. His house in Bernalillo, New Mexico, was full of people, but K and G found a quiet moment out by the bonfire that Greg and I built before the rest of the guests arrived. Greg was still looking pretty heatlhy at this point -- the chemo and the cancer had not reduced his spirit yet. Something of the sweetness of both people is in these photos.....

Spain photos, part TWO

Here is the main body of photos of our Spain trip. There are over 200 of them here, and the really good ones, of the Alhambra, are farther into the album. Enjoy.

MAINE trip -- August 2006

Follow this LINK to see a slide show from our trip to Maine in early August 2006. We visited the Belgrade Lakes area (where "On Golden Pond" was filmed), stayed in a house there built in 1823, attended the wedding of a couple of our Albuquerque friends (who grew up in Maine) and visited Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island, my family's ancestral homeland (the Coggins-DeLaittre part of it, anyway). Also visited Lamoine, the little town where some of my Coggins ancestors are buried. All of these things are featured in the show.....

Finally, The MAZE Photos....

Here is the online slideshow of my trip with Dave Nelson and Dave Yegerlehner to The Maze District of Canyonlands National Park in southeastern Utah in May of this year (sorry it's taken so long to post this). This weeklong trip featured a heavy-duty mountain-bike ride on the Slick Rock Trail outside of Moab, then several days in Canyonlands at the Maze District (two different campsites). Finally, we camped in the Henry Mountains, last area of the 48 contiguous states to be surveyed. These places are still very remote, folks. Follow THIS LINK to view. I'll also have some photos from my trip to Maine with Kathy in early August posted soon -- I PROMISE.

Pictures from Northern California

From my trip with Kathy to the Mendocino area over Christmas, December 24-29, 2005. You can click on each photo for a far more detailed view.... Featuring (in order) the Pacific coast, a creeping flower on the shore, three shots from among the Redwoods, Kathy in the rented convertible, the coast again from a Mendocino street, driftwood with spindrift (seafoam), MacCallum House from the front, Kathy and I at a beach, and the 350 foot tall Founder's Tree in Humboldt Redwoods State Park (lowest branches are well over 200 feet from the tree's base). The days went by far too quickly.... We had Christmas dinner at the Grey Whale Restaurant in MacCallum House, walked on the beaches, drove to the Redwoods, stayed at the Bug's Ear cottage (part of MacCallum House) and had a terrific time. As I said: it went far too quickly...we haven't shaken off the effects yet...
